Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1588
cirque, xenodochial, advise, attar
We were standing indecisively near a cirque filled with snow (like a bowl with skimmed milk) and our nostrils were filled with the attar of winter - pine needles, white cedar wood, musk, ice - when a xenodochial stranger kindly stopped and gave directions, advising us to go back down the glacier about half a mile and try the western trail, which she said was less difficult.
