Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1609
irenic, ness, insouciance, piquant
It's hard to tell where the "ness" is at Loch Ness, but there is a place two-thirds of the way up the western shore which sticks out a bit - the lake being otherwise uniformly very long and narrow - and includes the highest point above the lake, as well as the gentle ruins of Urquhart Castle, which seems the likeliest spot to be described as "noselike" (and where, incidentally, one could while away a carefree irenic afternoon, bland insouciance tempered by the piquant possibility of sighting the monster).
