Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1634
fluvial, sarong, minuscule, distrain
Whenever it rains very hard for very long, we get some serious fluvial geomorphology going on in the basement, since the water brings in a fair amount of detritus with it when it streams in and the detritus stays behind after the water has drained away, so I know we have cause to distrain upon the waterproofing company's goods and chattels until the problem is fixed (although now that I think of it, with the right lighting, a couple of vivos and a pa'ho, and some potted palms, we could create a minuscule archipelago down there and stand around on the islands of sediment in our brightly colored sarongs, listening to the lapping of the waves).
