Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1683
thimblerig, myriad, futurity, zetetic
Ms. Katz functions cognitively at a Late Paleolithic level to the extent that, while able to use tools with no innards, like hammers and spoons, she is utterly stymied by anything that requires a sense of interiority or futurity (such as, inside the electric pencil sharpener there is a receptacle for shavings which will need to be removed and emptied sometime during the next day or two), to the point that she cannot generate the intent to investigate why a tool isn't working since she is not anti-zetetic, but azetetic, unable to sustain the awareness of the myriad intricacies of insides (or even underneaths) but thinks objects are homogeneous like cylinders of baloney, so it is a hopeless, Sisyphean enterprise to try to explain something as simple as the thimbles in the old shell game of thimblerig hiding peas within, let alone that her cell phone contains a battery that must be periodically recharged.
