Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1691
spinster, amnicolist, laconic, kenspeckle
Miss Earlene Horsefeather, an elderly spinster, was secretly relieved to have been denied membership in Amnicolists International because she didn't live beside the river but upon it, in a kenspeckle houseboat (notorious for its startling paint job, involving swirls of colors the designer called Dark Eggplant, Pomegranate, and Sea Foam, but which the laconic tenant merely referred to as purple, red, and green), where she was quite happy to live alone with her one-eared cat, reaping the quiet rewards of having steadfastly refused, in her distant youth, all offers of marriage.
