Now, if you want to tell a story from the Old West, there's no need to be particularly subtile in how you clean up after the jubilee, by which I mean, how you dispose of auxilliary characters once they're no longer needed in the plot: just have 'em drygulched by that trusty bunch of nameless outlaws, you know, those same savagerous bandits who are always lurkin' in valleys that need to be crossed.
