Knowing that the literature of Zen Buddhism had been banned by the Bureau for the Elimination of the Meaningless, the Inexplicable, and the Contradictory, I was agape when I came across a samizdat koan collection slipped between copies of our Dear Leader's Orthodox Logic Training Manual at a Public Book Dispensary, but after I tittuped home with this text and applied the State Certified Reading Procedure, my excitement gave way to frustration: I couldn't get no satori.
