Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1825
gowl, heterographic, amok, mussitate
Dear Mrs Lee-Canthrupp, you may recall that, in his last school report, I wrote that during the end of term spelling bee Wolfie's distressingly vociferous heterographic blunders, intermitted by rank-breathed, slobbering mussitation (far from noiseless, I fear!), might just have indicated a mild form of Tourette's dyslexia; but today after morning prayers I witnessed him bare his teeth, gowl ferociously up at a fluorescent light fixture, upend his desk with remarkable hairy-handed strength, and then run amok through the girls' choir practice - which all leads me to revise my earlier supposition and to ask whether you have ever considered that Wolfie might benefit from medication for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder?
