Quandary Resolution 1857
trigon, uplift, tendentious, roborant
At the bi-weekly Pleasantpoint Middle School math faculty conference, when Mrs. Samian advanced the proposition that there is too much talking in class – that only the silent contemplation the “divine symmetry of the perfect trigon” could uplift young students from their geometric savagery and “roborate their obtuse, faltering minds” – several other teachers deemed the comment tendentious if not downright one-sided because it ignored (now quoting a draft of the department chair's reprimand note to Mrs. Samian) “the different but equally special virtues of n-gons with n > 3.”
