Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 1879
solferino, anadromous, zeroth, smithereens
In the Zeroth Adventure of Solferino, we meet the protagonist alone in the open Atlantic, outcast from his anadromous school because he's purplish red and not gray like the others, and because he's queerly uninterested in their breeding rituals; in the First Adventure we see Solferino's heroism emerge, as he saves his brethren from being torn to smithereens by a murderous shark who would stop their annual return to fresh water.
