Quandary Resolution 2094
exogamy, tussock, woolgathering, prosopography
As he wandered the library stacks with no research purpose in mind, Professor Stevens imagined a possible project—a prosopography of his academic colleagues, which would compare the lives of those who had followed the convention of exogamy (those who had married outside the department) with those who had wedded fellow sociologists, but this daydream was cut short when a tussock of the professor's remaining hairs drooped over his brow, obstructing his line of sight and causing him to hit his head on a dislodged encyclopedia (Volume Q) in what was to be a near-fatal woolgathering accident.
