In the newbie training class of state judges, which could have paraded as a horology club judging by their swanky chronometers (perhaps the requisite gnomon of career advancement), only a few surmised correctly that, stealthily behind the risible braggadocio about plenipotentiary overlording by this famous semi-retired Chief jurist, loomed hostile vociferous denigration of the “vulgarians” (the appellation by this grandee for anyone commoner than himself) – and they qualified.
