Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 2283
guerdon, ding-dong ditch, bathetic, gung-ho
Yes, I rather prefer being on the receiving end of 'ding-dong ditch' to 'trick or treat', for having scarpered they await no guerdon other than seeing me open the door, look about in mock perplexity, and shake my head in wide-eyed disbelief that no one, but no one, is there; and if that bathetic little escapade marks the limit of their gung-ho tribal shenanigans, then I suppose I can live with it.
