Dear Professor Mugwump, I do feel that my natural inclination to write disjointedly is in danger of being thwarted by your interminable injunctions to eschew discursion (rather a commonplace desideratum, might I suggest) - which reminds me of that excursion I took with the Brass Band to Cleethorpes, I think it was, do you know Cleethorpes by any chance? . . . such lovely ice creams! - and your constant ill-tempered quibblings (brought on by dyspepsia maybe? . . . I can recommend a very effective holistic, homeopathic nostrum) only serve to hinder my, that is, to interrupt the - but I digress, you were asking me to defend some aspects of my paper on collage techniques in Naked Lunch, as I seem to recall.
