Quandary Resolution 2360
valetudinarian, antœci, torpedo, daedal
Each night the ex-admiral, now a morose valetudinarian, would rise unsteadily from his sick-bed to shuffle across the room to a desk, where he would obsessively map, recalibrate, and again re-check the position of two troopships torpedoed (by daedal enemy contrivance) such that they had sunk in antœcian symmetry exactly four hundred nautical miles above and below the equator.
