Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 2527
predestinarianism, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, batten, pusillanimous
Would a pusillanimous but perhaps prideful retreat be exposed if a bigger “bird in the hand is worth two in the bush” was a sighted course “self-chosen” – such as the stakes of deferred gratification from protracted graduate education – in order to batten on the greater potential rewards from such, or is that, more humbly, just a protracted morph of an other-worldly fingering by predestinarianism?
