Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 2780
jonah, neonism, vamoose, dandle
The neonism "intrapestafracular" (meaning "of, like, or characteristic of one who dandles a baby as a subterfuge, while preparing to vamoose") isn't the kind of word that would find too many opportunities for usage in ordinary parlance; but that didn't stop my friend Jonah (who, like Jonah from the Book of Jonah, is widely regarded as a jonah) from showing up at the offices of the Webster's 47th Unabridged Dictionary Usage Committee, bouncing a bewildered infant on his knee in an intrapestafracular attempt to get the word standardized.
