Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 2889
hagiocracy, supervacaneous, lambent, intestable
As the first light of dusk suffused the great chamber in a lambent glow, the Hagiocracy of the Holy came to order, and Saint Flodnick of Toledo announced the two chief items on the agenda: first, whether certain members of the congregation (having been declared mentally unsound by psychiatrists following their self-proclaimed sainthood) were, in fact, legally intestable; and second, whether the word *supervacaneous* was actually needed in the English language at all, or whether the superabundance of close synonyms rendered it superfluous, extraneous, redundant, supererogatory, gratuitous, dispensable, and supervacaneous.
