Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 2930
lignify, hale, efficacious, brindled

Despite his attractive brindled coat and absurd little body, Bob Barker was the noisiest and most obnoxious Basset Hound Frumquist Avenue had ever known; so it was with great hope that we welcomed to the neighborhood Morty the Magnificent, a sorcerer of some renown, who had taken up residence in the "haunted" Withers Mansion at the top of the street; and after much wheedling and cajoling, we finally managed to hale the beleaguered wizard into casting a spell on the obstreperous canine, lignifying the creature in mid-woof: a singularly efficacious means of both ending the noise, and at the same time giving the owner an elegant wooden dog sculpture to treasure for years.
