Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 2993
inure, vortical, chaffer, futilitarian

Inured to Hormsley's futilitarian tactics, I rejected his "vortical model" of the future (in which humanity spirals, screaming, down a sort of immense cosmic toilet), and began a sort of existential chaffering, in which I was prepared to concede the existence of a cosmic toilet, so long as he would admit the possibility that its flushing mechanism might be the old-fashioned kind (with the chain you pull from above), and that, being thus hopelessly out-of-date, it might well malfunction--thus saving humanity at the last moment.
