Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 3070
stupefy, garçonnière, bower, hacienda

Wolfgang had always told me about his secret garçonnière in Buenos Aires and I had imagined it as nothing more than a well-appointed bower near the center of town, but when I finally paid him a visit from New York, I was stupefied to discover that he lorded over an expansive hacienda outside the city, stretching for an untold number of hectares and encompassing hundreds of heads of cattle, all a testimony to his successful evasion of the tax man for decades.
