Jim, slightly under the weather, went with it and pulled on the merrythought versus Barny Chuckle, yes, a funny guy, but ruthless as a Nazi, when it comes to prospects and ambition and even a whiff of a promotion, like that time.. - but Jim didn't let these thoughts flow, and instead focused on wishing something worthwhile - his Mom had stuffed him with a dazzling potpourri of all kinds of romantic, mystic, chicken soup, penny wisdom, common sense and superstitous ideas since Adam, at a desperate attempt to lucidate the chaos of violence, financial instability and fall outs (which was mostly inflicted by her erratic and bizarre budget and relationship decisions) around them: 'Let me figure out how to mitigate the expenses on presents... despite the effing  Christmas creep commencing to effing snowball in effing August....'
