Quandary Resolution 3502
gradgrind, inflicted insight, circumvent, pied

Greta awoke covered in sweat, realizing that she had been dreaming about past lives which she had never lived, false memories which were part of her “inflicted insight”, emotional trauma which had scarred her soul and would never heal, the result of interrogation by the doctor with the unruly pied hair – white roots peeking out from below the red-dyed strands, a gradgrind who was determined to obtain the information he wanted despite the expected consequences to his subjects (truth be told, his “victims”) because he was able to circumvent any proscriptions against the use of torture by twisting the psychological tool of past life regression therapy to suit his purposes – that the ends justify the means.
