While magnanimously abjuring to mention my rheumy opponent's secret penchant for women's underwear (deeming it beneath my dignity to point out that crotchless panties, in particular, figured with curious frequency in the Senator's private wardrobe), I nevertheless proceeded, in a straightforward and ad rem manner, to mercilessly dismantle his reputation, starting with a general attack on his family insignia: a turgid shaven centaur, rampant on a field of turqouise and gilded fleurs-de-lis, above the brazen Latin motto VESCERE BRACIS MEIS.
