Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 3556
bucolic, kettle of fish, livelong, pettifog

There is a bucolic meadow not far from here--the sort of setting you might find in a bucolic--where two bucolics discuss bucolic matters all the livelong day; and at times these two shepherds fall to bickering, quibbling over trifles (in a word: pettifogging), until at last one of them spontaneously combusts,1 and the other cries out in dismay, "Well, ain't that a fine kettle o' fish!"

1 "Dozens of people spontaneously combust each year." -- David St. Hubbins
