For the queen’s springtime jubilee, an immense display of the flowering plants in the gardens and orchards was being prepared, along with a salute to the gardeners and pollinators who tended to them, for which her liege maidservant was honored and grateful to have been chosen to wear a beey costume with fuzzy black and yellow stripes and a headdress with pompoms to mimic antennae, and not – thank the gods! – the bat suit.
