I was able to maintain a pococurante attitude toward Cheech's showing up to the rendezvous clad in nought but a lavender maillot with peach ruffles around the legholes; and I even managed to turn a blind ear when he ascribed this dubious sartorial vagary to diplopia; but when the museum curator glommed onto me and began following me all over the bordello like some kind of gender-confused gibbon, I finally had no choice but to jam two fingers into his startled eyes, slap him thrice in the neck, give him a wedgie, and bolt.
