Quandary Resolution 3657
machinate, wry, resile, boon

The delay in the train's departure from the station was a boon to Houdini, as it gave him time to machinate a plan to evade paying the fare: namely he would twist his body into a wry position and hide inside a cello case, (conveniently left behind by an intinerant musician) and then resile back to his former position on the seat, albeit with his ankles tied in a knot behind his head, necessitating him having to lay on his back displaying his bottom to the world; which, when all's said and done, is not the most dignified nor comfortable position in which to travel.
