Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 3672
toot sweet, roundabout, rash, sylph
"Hand me that micro-pig, toot sweet!" I shouted at Maudie; and as I wedged the tiny, startled hog into the crevice (thus blocking the in-flow of water and buying us a precious eight or nine seconds), I reflected on what a roundabout method this was for winning the sylph's admiration: deliberately punching a hole in the ship's hull and then "heroically" stuffing the resulting leaks with hordes of micro- and nano-pigs (the idea being to demonstrate my resourcefulness and ingenuity under pressure--but perhaps it was rash of me to assume these traits would appeal to her).
