Quandary Resolution 3783
consuetudinary, cymotrichous, tranche, obtest

Jane arrived with her cap askew and her cymotrichous locks blown about from her long trek across the windswept moor, for she knew no other way to help support her widowed mother and younger brothers, having gone into service herself at another great house to ease the their financial burden, and so had come to obtest that the remaining members of the family who still owned the lands where she was born provide a small tranche from the consuetudinary fund set aside by the late master for servants who had retired – for after all, her late father had served the family well for many years.
