Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 3793
trapeze, hue and cry, argot, spruik

The hue and cry over my ill-advised prank (I'd Scotch-taped a baby yak to the sleeping vice president, then posted the footage on YouTube like a flippin' idiot) reached such a furious uproar, and the crowd chasing me became so vast and impossible to evade, that in the end I was forced to seek refuge in a circus tent, where I scaled a high ladder and, leaping out onto the trapeze, swung crazily through the air, spruiking to save my life--I touched on all the classic themes: peace, harmony, getting along, forgiveness, friendship, the illegality of murder, etc. (indeed, my speech might have turned the hearts of my bloodthirsty detractors in my favor, if only I hadn't been so  dumb as to deliver the friggin' thing in an argot known only to a handful of high-level Masonic initiates; as it was, the mob only grew angrier, and when my trapeze finally swung to a halt they pulled my doomed tuchus down with a vengeance)....
