Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 3800
orthogonal, much of a muchness, hypnagogic, gambit

One of the highlights of my career as a food taster came at the Gilroy Garlic Festival, where we sat in the shade holding tiny plates piled high with colorful toothpicks placed orthogonally into tidbits of culinary masterworks, which might have been perceived as much of a muchness since they were all prepared from the stinking rose, but we found them to be much to the contrary, and as I made a gambit to begin discussing our decisions, I noticed that one of the other judges, Nigel B. Goodstuff from nearby Hollister, who had sunken into a reverie while viewing, sniffing, tasting, and mouthing the succulent morsels, was now hypnagogic from the sensual experience of so much garlicky goodness, leaving me no choice but to poke his portly paunch with the tiny skewer in my hand in order to wake him up.
