Quandary Resolution 4013
ne plus ultra, avail, palisade, concatenate

Try as they might to reach their teenage son, Maude and Harry felt that their efforts were to no avail, since he appeared to have created the ne plus ultra barrier against the outside world with his attitude, as if he were surrounded by a palisade of metal stakes concatenated with a live electrical wire carrying enough juice to immediately incinerate any creature foolhardy enough to have navigated the moat stocked with hungry gators to approach his room.
