"And I would've gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for you marplots!" shouted Old Man Withers, custodian of the Haunted Amusement Park (a naff man, Withers cared little for the dictates of fashion; nor was he particularly skilled at establishing a sense of eunoia with his interlocutors, since in point of fact the man's entire demeanor was "creepy" at best; but to accuse Obadiah Smackfield Withers of velleity would have been an inaccuracy indeed: for the old man was hell-bent on carrying out his nefarious schemes, and nothing--nothing, I say--could have thwarted him in his designs, save only a psychedelic van carrying four obnoxious teenagers and a talking dog...).
