Eric’s boss was munificent when it came to pay and benefits, but a mean micromanager of the work process, so when Eric created several variadic macros but printed out the samples on primrose paper instead of goldenrod, his boss assumed that he was being contumacious, rather than unschooled (and uninterested) in the nuances of various shades of yellow.
