Quandary Resolution 4197
pangloss, unciform, uncanny, assoil
In the summer when Hortense Bracegirdle apprenticed for a defense attorney, she felt greatly offended on the day when a folder labelled 'ASSOIL' was left on her desk, but on investigating its contents, she found that it was merely a panglossian prediction that the man suspected of killing his neighbor with an unciform prosthesis would be acquitted, and not, as she initially feared, an uncanny insult regarding an oleaginous behind.
