Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 4281
icarian, weir, numen, amygdaliform

Francis refused to accept my characterization of his efforts as icarian, as in his view the numen of the river would surely help him build a weir from whatever he had at hand—some dental floss, shoelaces, reclaimed yarn from an old sweater—and when he thought he noticed certain amygdaliform objects caught in the uneven netting, he thanked the spirits for his victory, reasoning that since the objects could not be almonds (in fact they were—he'd spilled his trail mix), they must be fish.
