Quandary Resolution 462
arrogate, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, intransigent, paroxysm
My glamorous younger sister Sarah, seized by her annual paroxysm of conflicted generosity, used to give me her cast-off sweaters as Christmas presents when we were young, arrogating to herself thereby the thankless job of sprucing me up a bit (I was an intransigent tomboy), but of course she was much smaller than I, so for me Christmas became an exercise in not looking a gift horse in the mouth.
