Quandary Resolution 4780
mammonism, Penrose stairs, berceuse, saccharine

Surrounded by the saccharine, sycophants of my station, surrounded by the priceless artifacts of my grasping avarice, I am alone, dying, and will miss none of these surroundings, but there is something I miss now, something I had forgotten–a memory--my mother sitting at the side of my bed, singing softly an old berceuse, and too clearly, and too late, I see my lifetime of mammonist pursuits have been as Penrose stairs, leading nowhere.
