Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 5052
confabulate, mither, irascible, clangor

The crowd below clamors for clemency, their clangor wafts up the sheer white walls of the minaret and I, loosed from a dark den below ground, sit before the imam, his luminous caftan almost as bright as my spirits, until, in an irascible voice, he lets me know I will never be leaving: “The crowd is dangerous but easily controlled with a little confabulation--I cannot release you, if you were never here,” and I mither a pathetic plea as I am taken and all again is darkness.
