At first blush, it made little sense to place the bullet train terminus in the middle of farm land in the Central Valley – unless it was done at the behest of a political crony, but it soon became clear that the Governor enjoyed repletion of both his campaign promises and his gastronomic cravings by taking trips to the end of the line, where a top vegan chef had relocated to take advantage of the locavore trend.
