During the triduan Festival of the Stinking Rose, cooks cleave, crush and combine garlic into every possible sort of comestible , but until I attended, I had not been cognizant of garlic’s role as a dessert item until I manducated it – with some trepidation -- incorporated into ice cream and dipped into melted chocolate.
