A relatively small vicissitude in Jane's fortunes resulted in her being able to purchase a cosmeticizing Turkey carpet for the Great Hall and also begin construction of an allee in the meidan between Rose Glen and Monk's Corners, prospectively relieving herself of the onus of hosting the annual hot air balloon rally there.
