Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 6402
dog whistle, praemunire, tactile, megillah

When the news that all enquiries and charges relating to Ranulph Ochan'toshan OBE, friend of Royalty and Race-horses, Prelates and Potentates, Old Etonians and Oiligarchs, and the raid on his house in Bowden, had been dropped and an apology for the distress caused him and his friends, who had been 'quietly going about their lawful business' when the ''unwarranted invasion took place,' was issued by the Chief Constable: it was like a dog-whistle to the finely-tuned ears of the perceptive WPC Isa Urquhart, who was explaining to Licinda (aka Lolly) the intricacies of praemunire now that Britain (though not Scotland) had voted narrowly to leave the European Union, and when Lolly asked: “if you leave Europe, Isa, where will you go? can I come too?” and Isa laughed, realising that there was truly no simple answer in the megillah of Post-Modern Referendum Consequences, but seeing that Lolly thought she was laughing at her question, Isa wiped a tear away from the Romanian girl's cheek, noting how tactile the girl was and that such an innocuous gesture instantly raised Licinda's spirits and brought a smile to her face: “never you worry, sweetie, we're going nowhere till those bastards are safely under lock and key; now where was I?” and Licinda chipped in: “the Great Statute of Praemunire 1393, Isa, line 137,” and grinned broadly at this example of her own incredible memory!
