Father Brown’s parish was a bit of a religious oligopoly at the moment due to his strange penchant for trying to evince the nature of the Trinity by comparing it to some form of furcating bolide from the heavens, an analogy which might have sufficed for the fiery symbolism of the Paraclete, but failed miserably to explain the Father and the Son by likening therm to blackened, vitreous cosmic fragments.
