If penmanship is a window into character, Hector's flowery roundhand reveals a fellow more mansuetudinous than manly, and when a band of rapacious antiquers, operating in collusion with his attention-starved Pomeranian, dispatched the anxious puffball to snatch Hector's vintage Montblanc fountain pen, he put up no defense except scribbling an ornamental SOS, a display of meekness which any graphologist could have foreseen.
