Quandary Resolution 822
bedlam, atone, inane, gastronome
Mrs. Keenan held her hands to her ears theatrically to convey her disapproval of the bedlam emanating from the private dining room behind the bar where the South Ardmore Gastronomic Club was well into hour three of its fortnightly overdose of food and drink (probably mostly the latter, she inferred from their inane conversation, fragments of old Army songs, and a certain impropriety in their interaction with the waitress, for all of which they would most certainly atone the next day on the early shift at the boiler factory).
