Quadrivial Quandary: Logophiles, Rejoice! Each day we give you four unusual words. Can you fit them all in one illustrative sentence?
Quandary Resolution 948
olla podrida, sleiveen, glower, potable
Our nominally Spanish family was really an olla podrida of nationalities, from father Berto to his sneaky slibhin of a wife from County Offaly, along with her daughter from a former marriage, the sulky, perpetually glowering Moira, then Chin-Hwa adopted from Korea, Benno from Egypt and finally me, Angharad from Wales - who makes the whole murky brew, if I do say so myself, a lot more potable.
